Wednesday 18 May the Benelux Business Club hosted a fantastic event at the Hilton Airport Hotel.
The event was build up of three stages: A welcome and networking, an interesting lecture, and a light meal and networking.
The head speaker at the event was professor Finn Mailergaard, who gave a lecture on cultural diversity.
In a humorous way Finn Mailergaard managed to entertain the attendees with his views on cultural diversity – how different we are – and how much we actually can gain from each other on a global level. Professor Mailergaard gave some excellent examples on how we look at each other and how much we see ourselves as local versus global.
45 people participated in the event. The Benelux Business Club have previously had some difficulties in attracting enough participants and the latest member survey showed a great demand for meeting new business contacts. In line of this all members were invited to bring a guest along from within his or her network.
From a network perspective this really generated some value. Therefore the next meeting 9 June will also be open to outside guests. So please bring a contact from your network. We are looking forward to seeing you again.
