Wednesday October 2. Advokaterne Amaliegade No 42 hosted an event for the Benelux Business Club in their beautiful old building from the 18th century in Copenhagen which used to house the Dutch embassy.
The theme of the event was Linkedin, and after a general welcome by Mr. Jeroen Tiel, managing director of Randstad and president of BBCs, it was time for the around 30 participants to learn more about social networking in general and LinkedIn in particular.
The presenter, Mr. Nicolai Hæggelin, is the director of leading Danish social network company, Digital Works, and one of the most sought after experts in the field. His presentation concentrated on how to use Linkedin as a company – how to make use of a company page and how to create interesting groups that enrich the individual members and encourage them to contribute actively to the group.
He stressed that a company page on LinkedIn is not the same thing as a company webpage, and that to be successful as a company on LinkedIn and other social networks, you have to make interesting content available to members.
LinkedIn has 775.000 members in Denmark alone and during the last two years especially it has become increasingly popular as the leading professional social network in the world.
After the presentation it was time for a light buffet, networking and exchange of business cards as old members got to know new participants and refresh old acquaintances.
The next event will be January 12. hosted by the Dutch Embassy |
